Sikkim Akademi in collaboration with the Language section of the Education Department, Government of Sikkim had been conducting debate competition in TAMANG LANGUAGE amongst the students of different schools where the said language is being taught up to class X level.
Semi-Final: First Round: Salaghari Sec. School VS. Mangalbaria Sr. Sec. School
Second Round: Maniram Secondary School Vs. Namthang Sr. Sec. School
In Both the rounds the formers ones i.e. Salaghari Sec. School and Maniram Sec. Schools become the winners for the final debate.
FINAL Debate Competition on 07.04.2021
The Inter-School Final Debate Competition in Tamang Language was held in the Mini Hall of Manan Bhawan. The topic of the debate was topic “Sikshan Pranalima Matri Bhasako Prayogley Matra Sarvangeen Vikas Garna Sakinchha/Sakindaina” Salaghari Secondary School (South) was for the motion and Maniram Secondary School (South) was against the motion.
Salghari Sec. School was declared the Winner scoring 382 points out of 600 and Maniram Sec. School became the runner-up which scored 366 out of 600 points. Ms. Phurmit Lepcha of Maniram Secondary School was declared the Best Speaker.
